“Man, that was so exciting gettingStep Brothers. Oh my god. I did not think I would get that part,” Scott said on the podcast. “And I think that's probably part of the reason I just went into the audition and just kinda went for it is because I was like, ‘There's no way.’ ”

As he explained, he wasn’t the original choice for the role.

“Someone had the role and then scheduling, they had to bail, so they had to cast it pretty quickly,” he explained. “So I got the part, and suddenly I was like, ‘Holy s----, I'm in this like Will Ferrell movie.’ ”

The comedy was a hit thanks in large part to its absurd humor and heavy reliance on improvisation — something Scott admits he was not prepared for at the time.

“And John C. Reilly and Adam McKay [were] directing, it was a big deal. It was so fun,” Scott said. “It was kind of terrifying because those guys ... they improvise a lot, and they're like the best improvisers in the world.”

He continued: “And I didn't know what I was doing. I never really even been in a comedy before. I couldn't get auditions for like sitcoms and stuff. Like, I just had no kind of comedy credentials whatsoever.”

Thrown into the deep end of improv comedy, Scott said he had to learn on the fly.

“So I was there, and so kind of had to learn to figure it out, figure out improvisation on the set ofStep Brothers,” he said. “So I equate it to, like, learning how to do the high jump at the Olympics. You know? It was crazy.”

Despite the initial nerves, the experience ultimately became a turning point.

“But I felt like, I went from having no idea what I was doing to, by the end of the four months or however long the movie took, I felt like I was starting to get the hang of it,” Scott shared.

He added that moment in particular felt like something of a breakthrough.

“I think it was like the dinner scene, and John Reilly and I started improvising about something — I don't think it's even in the movie, but we just started kind of going back and forth and kind of just flowing,” he recalled. “And you're not even thinking about it, you're just going.”

He added: “And towards the end of the shoot, and I remember after cut, John C. Reilly was like, ‘Alright. That was fun. Like, wasn't that cool? That was fun. Right?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, man.’”

“It makes me so happy and proud," Hilton tells PEOPLE exclusively of the return of Y2K fashion trends. "It makes me so proud, because I am the one who really created Y2K fashion, so it’s just so much fun to see so many people wearing looks that I’ve worn, and just seeing on all the biggest designers' mood boards, pictures of me."

Hilton notes that "the 2000s were such a fun time during fashion" with "all the bright colors" being "really extra and the sparkles, and people just having fun with it."

"So it’s really fun just to see so many people really embracing that style and having a good time,” Hilton tells PEOPLE.

The launch event, held at the Lot on Formosa in Los Angeles, introduced the "new Motorola Razr family," Including Hilton, Avan Jogia, Natalie Bryant, Isan Elba and more.

Longtime Razr user, Hilton tells PEOPLE about how having agency over what she chooses to share publicly has changed her relationship with stardom since the 2000s.“It’s definitely changed the game in so many ways," Hilton said. "I love how we all have our own platform, so we’re able to show our truth instead of having the media control everything; people can really take agency to really create a brand as well."

"It’s so exciting that anyone with a phone going on a platform could literally create their own empire, and I was the first to do it, so to see so many people inspired by that and following in my footsteps makes me extremely proud to be the OG," Hilton shared.

"I’m obsessed with the new ones, because everything about it is so elevated, and it’s evolved in so many ways, and yeah, I’m just obsessed," she added of the newest launch. "I love that I can color coordinate with all my outfits, and I thought tonight’s gown was perfect with this gorgeous orient blue phone.”

The launch concluded with a DJ set from Hilton—and she told PEOPLE that she currently has new music in the works."I’m having concerts, I’m headlining all summer long," Hilton said of her upcoming DJ sets at Tecate Emblema 2026 in Mexico City, Brighton & Hove Pride in Brighton, England, and World Pride in Amsterdam.

Hilton told PEOPLE that she is "finishing the third album" and has "been in all of my rehearsals right now, just getting ready with my dancers, to go on tour.”The "Stars Are Blind" singer added that the DJ scene has become far more inclusive than when she started DJing more than a decade ago.

"And it’s incredible to see so many girl DJs coming in and just absolutely slaying— they’re producing, they’re performing at the biggest music festivals, and I love supporting girls, and it just makes me so happy to see all of my sisters slaying the game.”

Hilton's 2000s catchphrase "that's hot" was a persistent fixture of pop culture at the time. When asked about what catch phrase would define this phase of her life, the mother of two said, “Definitely 'sliving,' 'sliving mom,' 'loves it' would really describe it, and 'that’s hot' will always be such a huge part of my life, so all three.”
